When We Know We Have More in Us...

We can have the most fulfilling lives possible. Everything can be complete, but we may still find that we have something that is missing; something that we want to do but have not either had the time or the confidence to do it. For me, it was both. I had written six non-fiction books, but I always wanted to write a fiction book. I put it on the backburner because my schedule was always crammed and I honestly thought I could not step out of my genre.
Well, 2 years ago I began to write my first fiction book. I was flowing along but then life happened. I started working a part-time job at night and I had a terrible accident. This accident has changed life as I knew it. I do not go all the places I used to go or do all the things I used to do, but I thank God for life and for a new perspective. I had written a book in 2024 about my first book and getting scammed to prevent this to happening to other authors. I wanted the fiction book to be a new journey for me, but how could I be thinking about a new journey, when right now, I could not do any journey.? This was an internal question that I had to answer in order to move forward.
i knew I had a way with words, and I knew I have a very vivid imagination...the problem would be did I have the strength to conger up a complete story to finish my book. I looked at the outline I had and them I revamped. I took the book in a different direction than the one it was going in. I let my mind be free with this book. I thought about the things going on in the world every day and I just went with it.
It took me a while to write it, because some days my body was in so much pain, but finally in July, I released my brand new first fiction novel. I am proud of this book because it was written while my body was aching, my head was hurting constantly, my mind was hard to focus, but my fingers and my spirit were willing....and God help me to finish it.
This if my first blog in almost 2 years, but I will be getting back to it. I love writing in all forms and writing is therapy to me. It helps me to release and relax. I allow my mind to be free and for me to direct my attention to something besides to problems of life.
Whatever you are going through, just know that God has placed something within you to help you rise to your fullest. Trust your gut and step out. You may be surprised with what you come back with!
